Founded in 2018. by Paul Chan, Decidr is a revolutionary AI-powered business operating system. Our mission is to transform how organisations do business by reimagining knowledge tasks with significant performance improvements and cost savings. With over 25 years of experience, our founder Paul Chan previously built and listed the global data and insights business Pureprofile (ASX:PPL), developing proprietary technology platforms that integrate micro-commerce transactions to generate decision support insights across various business categories. To date, over $3 million has been invested in Decidr's technology platform and R&D, showcasing our commitment to innovation and excellence.

What you’ll be doing

• Crafting, developing, and configuring applications to fulfill business processes and application requirements, leveraging your technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities, with a heavy focus on automation and enabling our own AI systems to make our customers (and you) more efficient.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to grasp business needs and efficiently translate them into technical requirements and code.
• Overseeing the Europe based engineering team throughout the software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, and debugging, to deliver top-tier solutions.
• Working in a truly agile way, making changes and adapting in order to achieve business goals. 
• Authoring testable, scalable, and efficient code, leading by example, and establishing coding standards for the team; utilising 
• Conducting thorough code reviews and providing constructive feedback to uphold code quality and adherence to best practices. 
• Mentoring and guiding team members, nurturing their professional growth, and promoting best practice. 
• Upholding software quality standards through code enforcement, rigorous testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives and deliver impactful software applications. 
• Remaining abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing technical skills, and fostering innovation within the development team.

What technology you will be using

Backend

• Utilising PostgreSQL for a robust and scalable relational database solution, ensuring reliability and SQL compliance.
• Leveraging AWS services like RDS, Lambda, SQS, and SNS for seamless, scalable, and cost-effective backend infrastructure management and event-driven architecture.
• Implementing TypeScript for enhanced code quality and Terraform for consistent and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.

Web app & mobile app

• Developing user interfaces with React and React Native for efficient cross-platform app development and improved performance.
• Utilising Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation, enhancing web app performance and SEO.
• Deploying applications with Vercel for automatic optimization, global deployment, and seamless scalability.

Ideal background

• A passionate technology professional who ideally has experience with SaaS and start up environments; taking a product to market and contributing to the companies growth and success.
• Strong full stack development skills with the ability to lead a team to deliver across a number of projects with multiple time-frames, highly organised and able to manage and communicate with all relevant stakeholders.
• A love for building and creating tech, with a confident and capable approach and the ability to reflect and adjust. 
• Extremely agile with a good feel for what is working and what isn’t and the confidence to problem make decisions. 
• Able to think big picture and long term; adjusting the way they work to suit both build and optimisation. 
• Comfortable in ambiguity with the ability to create their own structure, working with a growth mindset.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL, AWS services, TypeScript, Terraform, React, React Native and Next,js.
• Passionate about AI, digital trends and innovation.
